South African R&B fans can start counting down the days as internationally acclaimed singer and songwriter Ne-Yo prepares to return to the country for two highly anticipated live performances later this year.
Promoters Vertex Events have confirmed that the Grammy Award-winning artist will perform in both Cape Town and Pretoria as part of his 2026 international tour, bringing a catalogue of chart-topping hits to local audiences.
The first show is scheduled for Saturday, 17 October at the Grand Arena in GrandWest, Cape Town, before the singer heads to the SunBet Arena in Pretoria for a second performance on Sunday, 18 October.
Ne-Yo has built a loyal following in South Africa over the years thanks to a string of successful R&B and pop releases that have dominated radio stations, playlists and dance floors worldwide. Fans can expect a setlist featuring some of his biggest hits, including songs that helped define the sound of 2000s R&B.
The artist’s return comes during an exciting chapter in his career. In addition to revisiting fan favourites, audiences may also get the opportunity to experience material from his upcoming album, Highway 79, which explores a fresh musical direction while maintaining the signature sound that made him a global star.
Known for his smooth vocals, energetic stage presence and impressive songwriting credentials, Ne-Yo remains one of the most influential figures in contemporary R&B. Beyond his own recording success, he has contributed to numerous hit records for some of the biggest names in international music.
Vertex Events Executive Director Thato Segaole said the company is excited to bring another world-class act to South African stages.
“We look forward to producing memorable live shows that celebrate timeless music and give fans an unforgettable experience,” Segaole said.
Tickets for both concerts are already on sale through Webtickets and Pick n Pay outlets nationwide, with prices starting from R950. Gates are expected to open at 6pm on both event dates.
With demand expected to be high, organisers are encouraging fans to secure their tickets early for what promises to be one of the country’s biggest R&B events of the year.
