South African singer-songwriter lordkez has been selected as the latest artist to be featured in EMERGENT, a global music initiative by Levi’s® and COLORSxSTUDIOS aimed at showcasing emerging talent to international audiences.
The announcement coincides with the release of lordkez’s debut A COLORS SHOW performance, where she introduces her new song, Wena Fela. Filmed at COLORSxSTUDIOS in Brooklyn, New York, the performance offers fans an exclusive first listen to music from her upcoming project.
As part of the EMERGENT campaign, two original short films have also been released alongside the performance. The first, Side A / Side B, explores different sides of lordkez’s personality, creativity, and artistic identity. The second, 5:01, provides a reflective glimpse into her daily routine and creative process.
Speaking on the recognition, lordkez described the opportunity as a significant milestone in her career.

The South African artist joins a select group of musicians from around the world who will be featured through the EMERGENT programme over the course of 2026, with additional artists from major international music hubs set to be announced in the coming months.
